August 15th, 2009, 2-4:30 pm: 1st POP'S PARTY!

The Official Curtis Turner Museum is having its 1st organizational meeting called: 'Pops Party!' in honor of NASCAR racing Legend, Curtis Turner! Pops Party! will be at the Public Library on Peters Creek Rd, which is called the Hollins branch Library, near Oakey's and Burlington Elementary School in Roanoke, VA.

"The 1st Pop's Party, in honor of NASCAR racing Legend, Curtis Turner is sponsored by Curtis Turner Museum and is seeking to bring together like minded people who have Curtis Turner stories to share, or would like to volunteer their ideas and /or services to the eventual creation of a Curtis Turner Museum which also will bring recognition to the history of auto racing in the region. Each organizational meeting will be known as Pops Party in honor of Curtis Turner whose racing reputation was to 'Pop' his competition out of the way on the racetrack, and his philosophy that 'Life should be a party'.

This initial meeting will record any Curtis Turner Stories, and will have discussion about creating Curtis Turner Museum Events throughout the year as fundraisers and to raise awareness of this stock car racing legend, Curtis Turner whose racing home town was Roanoke, VA. His daughter, Margaret Sue Turner Wright will be officiating the meeting. RSVPs by email appreciated!
